When the muezzin says “Hayya ‘ala’l-salaah (come to prayer)” or “Hayya ‘ala’l-falaah (come to success)” If he does wudoo’ and prays, his salaah will be accepted.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1086) There is no power and no strength except with Allaah), then he says, Allaahumma aghfir li (O Allaah, forgive me), or he makes du’aa’, his prayer will be granted. Praise be to Allaah, glory be to Allaah, there is no god but Allaah and Allaah is Most Great. To Him belongs praise and His is the sovereignty, and He is Able to do all things. Al-hamdu-lillaah wa subhaan-Allaah wa laa ilaaha ill-Allaah wa Allaahu akbar, wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illa Billaah (There is no god but Allaah Alone, with no partner or associate. It was reported that ‘Ubaadah ibn al-Saamit said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘Whoever turns over at night and says Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah wahdahu laa shareeka lah, lahu’l-mulk wa lahu’l-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer. (There is neither might nor power except with Allah).” Īmong the occasions on which this phrase is uttered are the following: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) came close to us and said, “O people! Don’t exert yourselves, for you do not call a deaf or an absent one, but you call the All- Listener, the All-Seer.” The Prophet (ﷺ) then said, “O `Abdullah bin Qais! Shall I teach you a sentence which is from the treasures of Paradise? ( It is): ‘La haula wala quwata illa billah’. Reference: Mustadrak al hakim hadith 1990Ību Musa (R.A) reported: “While we were with Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) in a holy battle, we never went up a hill or reached its peak or went down a valley but raised our voices with Takbeer. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) Said: For the person who reads Laa ḥawla wa laa quwwata illā billa, it is a cure for ninety nine(99) diseases, the mildest of which is grief. For verily, it is a treasure from the treasures of Paradise”. “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) Said: ‘Be frequent in saying: Laa ḥawla wa laa quwwata illā billa”. We need to say لا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلا بِالله Laa Hawla Wa Laa Quwwata Il-la Bil-laah whenever we feel weak or are unable to do anything. There is neither might nor power except with Allah.
